Pierre “P” Thomas hospitalized after heart attack

Pierre “P” Thomas, co-founder and CEO of Quality Control Music, has been hospitalized in an intensive care unit in Las Vegas after suffering a heart attack. The medical emergency occurred on Friday, August 21.

Quality Control Music issued a statement confirming that Thomas is alive and receiving medical care. The label requested privacy for Thomas and his family, asking supporters to keep them in their thoughts. The announcement was made to address and correct unverified social media rumors claiming the executive had passed away.

Thomas, 45, co-founded the Atlanta-based label in 2013 alongside Kevin “Coach K” Lee. Under his leadership, Quality Control became a major force in hip-hop, developing artists such as Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and City Girls. The company has since expanded into sports management and film, and was involved in a $300 million deal with HYBE America in 2023.
