Pierre Richard: The actor's 40-year life as a vineyard owner

French actor Pierre Richard, celebrating his 92nd birthday, has maintained a secondary life as a vineyard and château owner in the Aude region for nearly forty years.

His acquisition of the estate in Gruissan began by chance in 1986 during a walk with his secretary. Although he initially found the location “sinister” and lacking in flowers, he was drawn to the surrounding environment and the nearby pond. Following this visit, Richard sought professional guidance from a specialist oenologist to transition from acting into viticulture.
