Pierre Sage appointed as Crystal Palace manager
Crystal Palace has confirmed the appointment of Pierre Sage as their new manager on a three-season contract running until 2029. Sage, 47, succeeds Oliver Glasner, who departed following a successful tenure that included winning the FA Cup, Community Shield, and Conference League.
Sage joins the Premier League club from RC Lens, where he was named Ligue 1 Manager of the Year after leading the team to a second-place finish and their first Coupe de France title. His move follows negotiations that reportedly included an offer from a Saudi Arabian club, which was declined.
The financial terms of the deal include an annual salary of approximately €4,740,000. The transfer is expected to generate at least €3 million for RC Lens, with potential bonuses of up to €2 million. Sage arrives in London with a four-person staff, including assistants Jamal Alioui and Damien Della Santa, and fitness coach Sandy Guichard.
