Pieter Vermeulen Museum adds wolf to collection in Velsen

The Pieter Vermeulen Museum in IJmuiden has added a wolf to its collection, allowing residents of Velsen to view the animal up close. The wolf, which died earlier this year following a collision on the A50 highway, is intended to illustrate the ongoing return of wolves to the Netherlands.

The acquisition was made possible through the support of the Rotary Club Velsen. Leonie van der Linden, the club's chair, expressed pride in the addition, noting that the animal was not involved in any known incidents prior to its death.
