Pietrangelo Buttafuoco joins Radio InBlu2000 after leaving Rai

Writer and Venice Biennale president Pietrangelo Buttafuoco is moving to Radio InBlu2000, the radio station of the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI), following his departure from Rai.

Buttafuoco previously hosted the daily literary segment ‘Lupus in fabula’ on Rai Radio1. His exit from the public broadcaster follows recent tensions between Buttafuoco and government officials, including Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli and Undersecretary Giovanbattista Fazzolari, regarding the Russian pavilion at the Venice Biennale. While some have interpreted the decision not to renew his program as a political consequence, this has not been officially confirmed.

His new project on Radio InBlu2000 is expected to focus on literature and will likely occupy a similar morning time slot as his previous program.
