Pietrapaola re-establishes Pro Loco with youth leadership

The Pro Loco association has been re-established in Pietrapaola, Cosenza. Domenico Aleksandr Chiarelli, a 22-year-old law student at the University of Calabria, was elected president by unanimous vote during the constitutive assembly.

To promote civic participation among younger generations, the Presidency and the Board of Directors are composed entirely of individuals between the ages of 20 and 40. The association aims to revitalize the village by promoting its historical and religious traditions, such as the feast of San Domenico and the 'sagra della strazzata', as well as developing cultural events and food and wine itineraries.

Key objectives for the new organization include digital tourism promotion, creating a tourist reception desk, and strengthening community safety through volunteer work. The association also intends to pursue the necessary requirements to join the Civil Protection system.
