Pietraperzia implements social services funding and road upgrades
The municipality of Pietraperzia has secured 100,000 euros in funding to establish a new Family Center. The project aims to strengthen local social services by providing support, guidance, and assistance to family units. The center is designed to focus on preventing social distress, promoting relational well-being, and supporting parental responsibilities through an integrated welfare model that connects municipal services with schools and healthcare institutions.
In a separate local initiative, Mayor Calogero Di Gloria announced the second phase of a road signage and marking project. The works are currently focused on the historic center, including Via Stefano Di Blasi, Via Sabotino, and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. As part of these improvements, parking regulations have changed: blue zones, which previously required payment after 15 minutes, are being replaced with white markings, making all parking stalls free of charge. The project intends to enhance road safety, urban order, and pedestrian visibility.
