Pietrasanta Carnival 2027 Extends Free Entry to Children Up to Age 12

The municipal council of Pietrasanta approved a policy for the 2027 Carnival that expands free admission to the masked courses for children up to 12 years old, up from the previous under‑10 limit. The move, explained by cultural traditions assessor Andrea Cosci, aims to bring the celebration closer to families and encourage youth participation.

Free entry also applies to spectators over 70 and to people with disabilities accompanied by a caregiver. All other attendees must purchase a ticket for €5. Additional events, such as the Miss Carnival finale, the Festa della Canzonetta, and the local dialect theatre, retain their standard pricing. The football tournament for the contrade will also keep a €5 ticket price, with free access for over‑70s and under‑14s.

The schedule includes three masked courses in February (7, 14, 21, with a reserve date on 28 February) and a series of cultural performances throughout August and early September at the municipal theatre Cesare Galeotti and the town square.
