Pietro Chizzo reaches North Cape on a 1967 Vespa
Pietro Chizzo, a 22-year-old from Venice, has completed a 4,600-kilometer journey from Italy to North Cape, Norway, riding a restored 1967 Vespa. Having personally rebuilt the engine and electrical system to prepare for the trek, Chizzo reached his destination in 21 days.
The journey involved navigating harsh weather conditions, including temperatures near 0°C and wind gusts reaching 90 km/h. To fund the trip, Chizzo sold custom T-shirts, through which he also raised 2,000 euros for the 'Tra Terra e Ciel' foundation to support parents who have lost children.
This trip to North Cape is only the first stage of a planned 10,000-kilometer odyssey. Chizzo intends to continue through the Lofoten Islands, Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Luxembourg, France, and the Aosta Valley before returning to Italy by the end of August.
