Pietro Golia Award celebrates Southern Italian culture in Naples

The third edition of the Pietro Golia Award was held at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, honoring excellence across journalism, music, medicine, entrepreneurship, sports, and civic engagement. Promoted by the Centro Studi Pietro Golia, the ceremony aimed to highlight the role of culture in building community identity and revitalizing Southern Italy (Mezzogiorno).

Key participants included Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi and the Campania Region's Culture Councilor, Onofrio Cutaia. A special recognition was awarded to the Italian Red Cross for its social commitment. The event was hosted by actress Lara Sansone and served as a tribute to the memory of Pietro Golia, a Neapolitan cultural figure and founder of the Controcorrente publishing house.
