Lanciano: Three children removed from parents by social services

Social services, supported by law enforcement, have removed three minors—aged 3, 4, and 7—from their parents in Lanciano, Chieti. The children have been placed in a family home following authorization from the Prosecutor's Office.

The intervention was reportedly based on alleged hygiene issues and the presence of dogs in the household, claims which the parents strongly contest. According to the family, the two youngest children were taken from the home, while the eldest was collected from school by social workers accompanied by plainclothes officers.

The father, Pietro Loffredo, is the father of Fortuna Loffredo, a child who was tragically killed in 2014. Legal representatives Angelo and Sergio Pisani have criticized the suddenness of the operation, noting a lack of prior warnings or documentation. They are seeking immediate access to the case files and judicial verification to ensure the well-being of the children and to prevent further psychological trauma to a family already impacted by previous loss.
