Pietro Lombardi faces serious vision loss in right eye

German singer Pietro Lombardi is facing serious vision problems that could lead to blindness in his right eye. During an episode of the podcast ‘Patchwork Boys’ with Oliver Pocher, the 34-year-old revealed that his vision has been blurred for several weeks.

A medical examination determined that his cornea is significantly thinned, leaving him with only 40 percent vision in the affected eye. Lombardi noted that he had undergone laser eye surgery approximately two years ago, which initially seemed successful, but the recent deterioration was unexpected.

Doctors have advised urgent intervention to prevent further decline. Lombardi is seeking specialized treatment at an eye clinic in Cologne, where options such as the surgical implantation of a special contact lens are being considered.
