Pietro Lombardi sets condition for ‘Let’s Dance’ participation
Singer Pietro Lombardi has expressed interest in participating in the German dance competition show ‘Let’s Dance’, but only under a specific condition. During an appearance on the ‘Patchwork Boys’ podcast with Oliver Pocher, the 34-year-old revealed that he would only sign on if he were to be eliminated immediately after the first episode.
Lombardi explained that his hesitation stems from a fear of live performances and the anxiety associated with the weekly pressure of remaining in the competition. He noted that previous experiences with live shows, such as during his time on ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’, left him with a desire to avoid the stress of waiting for results and the fear of being voted out.
While Lombardi praised the show as one of the highest-quality formats on German television, he stated that he rarely leaves his comfort zone. Despite Oliver Pocher’s encouragement, suggesting that Lombardi’s popularity would protect him in the early weeks, the singer maintains that his primary hurdle is the emotional weight of the live competition format.
