Pif receives fifth Famiglia Cristiana Award at Venice Film Festival
Director and presenter Pif has been awarded the fifth edition of the Famiglia Cristiana Award during the 83rd Venice Film Festival. The ceremony was held at the Italian Pavilion of the Hotel Excelsior.
Don Stefano Stimamiglio, director of the Famiglia Cristiana weekly, presented the award, citing Pif’s ability to combine entertainment with social reflection and his work addressing contemporary realities and the fight against organized crime. Monsignor Davide Milani, president of the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo, also participated in the ceremony.
In an interview following the award, Pif discussed his relationship with spirituality, noting that he identifies as an agnostic and that his work often explores themes of faith through a lens of doubt.
