Piggyvest mobilizes nine million Nigerians for savings and investment

Piggyvest, a Nigerian digital savings and investment platform, has reported mobilizing over nine million users to encourage savings and investment within the country. During a recent ‘Open House’ event in Lagos, company leadership, including CEO Somto Ifezue, stated that the platform aims to reduce frivolous spending and help Nigerians achieve financial freedom through structured savings.

The company is expanding its service offerings with new products such as Piggyvest Kid, Piggyvest Business, and joint accounts. Co-founder Odunayo Eweniyi noted that the business account is designed to assist users with treasury management and business growth.

In a separate development, a user has publicly appealed to the platform for assistance after losing access to an account containing approximately ₦500,000. The individual reported being unable to log in while attempting to fund their account, raising concerns regarding account accessibility.
