Pigiama Run to support pediatric cancer patients across Italy

The seventh edition of the Pigiama Run, a non-competitive run and walk event organized by LILT (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori), is scheduled for Friday, September 18. The event will take place across 35 Italian cities to raise funds for children and adolescents battling oncological diseases and to support their families.

Taking place during Gold Ribbon month, which is dedicated to pediatric cancer awareness, the initiative aims to fund various services. These include psychological support, housing assistance, sports therapy, rehabilitation, and logistical aid, such as covering transportation costs for families traveling to specialized treatment centers.

This year features PIGI, an official teddy bear mascot created by Trudi, who is traveling across Italy to highlight the impact of donations. Participants are encouraged to wear pajamas to symbolically stand in solidarity with young patients. The event includes awards for the most creative or coordinated pajamas, and those unable to attend in person can participate via the ‘Anywhere’ mode.
