Piglio administration faces scrutiny over sports center management

In Piglio, the municipal administration led by Mayor Mario Felli is facing criticism regarding the management of the ‘Gianni Fraiegari’ sports center. While the Mayor initially stated in October 2025 that a nine-month provisional assignment to ASD Piglio Scalambra Serrone was an emergency measure to prevent closure, a subsequent resolution has granted the same association a direct, free ten-year management contract from 2026 to 2036.

This decision bypasses the public tender process previously promised to the City Council and other local sports organizations, such as ASD Anagni Frassati, Accademia Calcio Fiuggi, and ASD Atletico Piglio, who had expected a competitive bidding process. The shift in policy has caused internal friction within the municipal administration and raised concerns regarding transparency and administrative procedures.
