Pigments Project launches SCOPE 40 to evaluate CAC 40 LGBTQ+ inclusion
The Pigments Project has introduced SCOPE 40, the first independent national index designed to evaluate the LGBTQ+ inclusion policies of companies within the CAC 40. The inaugural ranking is scheduled for release on December 17, 2026.
Twenty-three major companies, including BNP Paribas, L’Oréal, Schneider Electric, and Renault Group, have already confirmed their participation. The evaluation uses 26 verifiable criteria organized into four pillars, scoring companies out of 100 points. The methodology relies strictly on documented evidence and public information rather than statements of intent.
The initiative is supported by the French Ministry of Labor and Solidarity, the Ministry of the Economy, and the DILCRAH, though the index maintains editorial autonomy. It does not provide consulting, training, or labeling, but aims to provide comparable data to measure progress over time. This comes amid findings from the Ifop/Pigments Project Observatory, which indicates that 78% of employees in large companies believe employers play an important role in fostering LGBTQ+ inclusion.
