Pignola police arrest two individuals for drug trafficking

Police in Pignola have arrested two individuals following an investigation triggered by information from a new judicial collaborator. The operation, conducted by the Potenza State Police and the Questura di Potenza, targeted a local drug trafficking hub.

Authorities identified an Italian citizen with no prior criminal record as a drug courier. During searches of the suspect's residence, vehicles, and person, as well as those of an accomplice acting as a substance custodian, police seized 10.6g of cocaine and 45.2g of hashish. Also recovered were precision scales, packaging materials, and mobile phones.

The two suspects were arrested for possession and distribution of narcotics. One suspect was taken to the ‘A. Santoro’ prison in Potenza, while the other remains under house arrest pending judicial validation.
