Pikes Peak Hospice and The Denver Hospice conduct community and staff initiatives

Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care recently collaborated with the Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center to provide educational training on palliative care. Sonya Bergeron, the organization's Veteran Liaison, led a session titled ‘Palliative Care Basics’ to inform staff about managing symptoms and improving quality of life for individuals facing serious illnesses.

The initiative aims to strengthen the network of support for veterans and their families by ensuring community partners understand how palliative care can address physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs alongside medical treatments.

Separately, The Denver Hospice held an ice cream social to recognize the dedication of its employees. The event, featuring treats from Rocket Ice Cream, was designed to support staff members who provide essential bedside, clinical, and administrative services to patients and families.
