Pikotaro and Sachiko Kobayashi release AI-enhanced music video

Pikotaro has released a new music video for the song ‘47 Prefectures feat. Sachiko Kobayashi’, marking the finale of his ‘Tottemo Release 80. 8’ project. The track serves as a culmination of his series of songs themed around various Japanese prefectures, featuring a rapid vocalization of all 47 prefectural names from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

The music video utilizes a blend of live-action footage of Pikotaro and Sachiko Kobayashi with AI-generated imagery, including scenes inspired by the Hachinohe Sansha Festival. Producer Daimao Kosaka noted that Kobayashi’s participation elevated the melody, stating that the song became a masterpiece the moment she began singing.

Kobayashi, who has known Kosaka for approximately ten years, expressed her joy in participating in the project celebrating the 10th anniversary of Pikotaro’s ‘PPAP’. She also shared that other artists, including Kiyoshi Hikawa, have expressed appreciation for the song’s inclusion of specific regional names.
