Pilar couple detained for luxury car fraud

Carlos Alberto González and his wife, Cytinhia Karina Chamoles, have been detained in Pilar, Argentina, following allegations of large-scale fraud involving luxury vehicles. Operating through their dealership, ‘Autos Pilar Premium’, the couple is accused of defrauding 47 clients of more than two million dollars and 500 million pesos.

The investigation includes 38 specific incidents of fraud. Notable victims include Jujeño deputy Manuel Quintar, who reported paying nearly 285,000 dollars for a Tesla Cybertruck that he never received, and Joaquín Pichot, who alleged the couple misappropriated the sale of his Ford Ranger Raptor 3.

During their interrogation, González attributed the fraudulent activities to the country’s economic crisis, claiming his business saw a significant decline in sales. He stated, “Me aniquilo, perdí todo respeto y confianza” (I am annihilated, I lost all respect and trust).
