Pilar Gough releases second studio album

Argentine singer and songwriter Pilar Gough has released her second studio album, titled ‘Lo que no logré en la Ciudad’. The work explores the tension between urban life and the search for belonging, time, and origins.

Moving away from the digital focus of her debut album ‘MUDA’, this new project utilizes more organic, analog instruments. The musical style draws from popular songbooks, incorporating rhythms from cumbia, salsa, and candombe to pair melancholic lyrics with upbeat tempos.

Produced by Baltazar Oliver, the album features several collaborations, including a version of the Neuquén anthem ‘Neuquen Trabun Mapu’ alongside Trucha and La Valenti. Other notable tracks include ‘Cuando No Tenga Tiempo’ with María Morgade and ‘Copla de los Hermanos’ with Manu Estrach, as well as a cover of Ruben Rada’s ‘Quien va a cantar’.
