Pilar Sordo compares life to a hotel stay in new reflection
Chilean psychologist and author Pilar Sordo shared a reflection on social media comparing life to a hotel stay. She noted that while people cannot always choose their circumstances, they can decide how to make the most of their time.
Drawing from a column she wrote years ago, Sordo observed that while hotel guests know exactly how long they will stay, both life and hotel visits share the inevitable certainty that one must eventually depart. She contrasted the attitudes of guests, noting that some focus on complaints regarding amenities or environmental factors like seaweed on beaches, while others express gratitude for what is available, even when conditions are imperfect.
