Pilatus Aircraft and Mundosol announce industrial expansions in Spain

Swiss aeronautics multinational Pilatus Aircraft has formalized the purchase of 97,127 square meters of land in Carmona, Seville, for 12.1 million euros. Through its subsidiary Pilatus Aircraft Ibérica, the company acquired the plots from the Agencia de Vivienda y Rehabilitación de Andalucía (AVRA) and the Sociedad para el Desarrollo de Carmona (Sodecar). The project involves an estimated investment of nearly 100 million euros and is expected to create up to 500 skilled jobs. The facility, slated to open by late 2028, will focus on manufacturing components, aero-structures, and aeronautical wiring, supporting programs such as the PC-24 executive aircraft.

In Orihuela, the citrus company Mundosol Quality has requested an expansion of its non-urbanizable land for its La Murada facilities. The proposal seeks to increase the area dedicated to citrus handling and packaging from approximately 71,585 square meters to 213,471 square meters, an increase of 14.19 hectares. The expansion has received a favorable report from the Conselleria de Agricultura. Mundosol, which processes between 110,000 and 125,000 tons of lemons annually, represents roughly 10% to 12% of Spanish production.
