Pilgrimage groups travel to Lourdes from the Netherlands and Belgium

Religious groups from the Netherlands and Belgium recently completed pilgrimage trips to Lourdes, France.

The Huis van de Pelgrim organized a trip for over 650 pilgrims from various Dutch locations, including Haarlem, Santpoort, Heemskerk, Langedijk, Breda, Roermond, and Den Bosch. When combined with smaller groups from Christoffel Reizen, the total number of Dutch participants reached between 750 and 900.

Separately, the Diocese of Liège led a pilgrimage for 62 participants from East Belgium in mid-August. Under the theme ‘Here I am!’, the group participated in various religious activities, including a starting mass with Bishop Jean-Pierre Delville, sacrament processions, and visits to sites related to Saint Bernadette. The program also included visits to the Cité St. Pierre, a facility for pilgrims in need.
