Pilot discharged after crop duster crash in Entre Ríos

A 56-year-old pilot has been discharged from the Hospital Centenario de Gualeguaychú following a plane crash in southern Entre Ríos. The accident occurred on Thursday, September 10, while the pilot was performing fertilization tasks near Estancia Las Marías in the Perdices area.

Upon admission, medical examinations revealed the pilot suffered from a mild pulmonary contusion, abrasions, and multiple traumas. Although he required intensive care to monitor his respiratory evolution, his condition stabilized, leading to his discharge.

The aircraft caught fire during the crash, but the blaze was brought under control by the Bomberos Voluntarios de Ceibas. While initial reports suggest a possible mechanical failure caused the descent, an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
