Pilotaldia launches in Pamplona for Basque pelota promotion

Pilotaldia, a new promotion project for Basque pelota, has launched in Pamplona. The event is driven by the Navarra Basque Pelota Federation in collaboration with the Pamplona City Council and the Government of Navarra.

From Thursday to Sunday, more than 250 participants aged 8 to 16 will compete. The athletes represent 16 clubs from Navarra, Álava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Asturias, Aragón, Almería, Segovia, and France. The event aims to combine competitive play with social integration, technical training, and the promotion of the values associated with the sport.

Competitions will take place across several frontons, including Club Tenis Pamplona, Amaya, San Juan, Oberena, Larraina, and the Labrit fronton. Additionally, a daily circuit called ‘Palathlón’ will feature fifteen tests dedicated to the sport at various locations such as the San Bartolomé fortin and the Juan Moya promenade.
