Pine Island man sentenced for child pornography convictions
Landon Elias Rudolph, a 21-year-old man from Pine Island, Minnesota, has been sentenced following convictions for the use of minors in sexual performances and child sexual abuse material.
Under a plea agreement in Goodhue County court, Rudolph pleaded guilty to two counts. In exchange, two other felony charges—possession of child pornography and engaging in electronic communication regarding sexual conduct with a child—were dismissed. He was sentenced to one year in jail, with credit for 139 days already served, and 10 years of probation. He also received 48 months of concurrent, stayed prison sentences that could be activated if he violates his probation.
The case originated from a Zumbrota Police Department investigation into sexually explicit communications on Snapchat. Investigators identified two juvenile female victims; the complaint alleges Rudolph pressured a 15-year-old girl into sending nude photos and sent her sexually explicit images of himself.
