Pine Labs appoints Jayaram Karthik as Chief Operations Officer

Fintech platform Pine Labs has appointed Jayaram Karthik as its new Chief Operations Officer. Karthik, formerly the Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Razorpay, will oversee operations and merchant experiences across both Indian and international markets.

With over 25 years of experience in operations, risk, analytics, and technology, Karthik previously held leadership roles at American Express, Citibank, Amazon, and Tata. His mandate includes building technology-enabled operating models and standardizing merchant journeys to support the company’s global expansion across more than 20 countries.

Pine Labs reported significant financial growth in Q1 FY27, with revenue from operations increasing to Rs 737 crore from Rs 616 crore in Q1 FY26. This growth contributed to a nearly fourfold increase in profit, rising to Rs 20 crore from Rs 5 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter.
