Taiwanese local governments launch regional tourism and specialty product promotions

Various Taiwanese local governments are conducting promotional activities to showcase regional specialties and tourism.

Taitung County is participating in the 2026 Asia-Pacific Sustainability Expo in Taipei, featuring a ‘Taitung Sustainability Bookstore’ based on its Voluntary Local Review report. The exhibit uses interactive elements and themed selections to present the county’s progress in sustainable development and UN SDGs.

Tainan City is expanding its presence in the Southeast Asian market, specifically targeting Singapore through the 2026 NATAS Autumn Travel Fair and digital advertising in Singapore’s Central Business District. The campaign highlights Tainan’s culinary reputation and natural landscapes to attract international travelers.

In central Taiwan, the Changhua County Government is hosting a specialty product exhibition at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in Taichung, featuring 19 local brands ranging from traditional foods to handmade crafts.

Pingtung County is promoting its local products through an exhibition at Hanshin Arena in Taichung, as well as hosting the 2026 Pingtung 3D Travel Carnival at Hengchun Airport, which features drone demonstrations and technology-based tourism experiences.
