Pingtung Christmas Festival to launch with light displays and bubble shows

The Pingtung Christmas Festival, themed “Paradise Christmas Party,” is scheduled to begin its lighting ceremony on November 6 at Pingtung Park. The event will run through January 3, 2027, featuring 12 sets of light displays.

Key attractions include the 10-meter “Radiant Surprise Box,” which incorporates mechanical movement, visual effects, and interactive elements, alongside a 10-meter “Starlight Christmas Tree.” Other installations include the “Fairytale Adventurer” window displays, the “Starry Golden Crown” light corridor, and the “Moonlight Fairytale” display.

Weekend and public holiday programming includes a “Dreamy Bubble Show” using smoke bubble machines, Christmas parades, and a “Christmas Workshop” for families. Additionally, a “Zhonghua Street Market” featuring 70 stalls of local food and crafts will take place on November 7 and 8. Local retailers, including Pingtung Global Shopping Center and Pingtung Pacific Department Store, are offering promotional vouchers for visitors who present photos of the festival displays.
