Pingtung County Government partners with Lao Sichuan to promote local seafood

The Pingtung County Government has partnered with the catering brand Lao Sichuan to launch the ‘Pingtung Gold Medal Aquatic Products · Sustainable Seafood Table’ co-branded menu. Pingtung County Magistrate Chou Chun-mi and Lao Sichuan Chairperson Chen Shu-ping signed a memorandum of understanding to promote local high-quality seafood.

From now until November 1, Lao Sichuan outlets across Taiwan will feature premium Pingtung grouper fillets paired with their signature Qinghua Pickled Cabbage White Jade Pot. Customers ordering the pot can receive a free upgrade to the grouper fillets, or purchase a 200g portion of the fish separately for 428 TWD. The promotion is available for dine-in, takeout, and delivery.

The initiative aims to connect local aquaculture production directly with dining channels, increasing the brand visibility and market competitiveness of Pingtung’s aquatic products. By utilizing the culinary creativity and market influence of established catering brands, the county government hopes to bridge the gap between local farmers and consumers while driving positive development across the seafood industry chain.
