Pingtung County promotes AI integration in agri-food biotechnology
The Pingtung County Government held a seminar titled ‘AI × Agri-Food Biotechnology’ to promote the intelligent and high-value transformation of local industries. With over 500 food manufacturing companies accounting for one-quarter of the county’s manufacturing sector, the event focused on how artificial intelligence can enhance production efficiency, quality control, and marketing.
Experts shared practical applications, including the use of AI for smart production, safety monitoring, and the transition from experience-based fertilizer blending to intelligent control systems. To assist businesses facing technical or budgetary hurdles, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) provided one-on-one consultations regarding equipment integration and government funding applications.
