Pingtung County youth program trains 208 students in local revitalization

The Pingtung County Government has completed its fourth year of the local revitalization internship program, having trained a total of 208 college students across 39 teams. The initiative aims to connect youth with local culture, industries, and land to encourage future returns to the region.

At the recent results exhibition, the ‘Lao Cuo 54’ team from Pingtung University of Science and Technology took first place. The team utilized local ingredients to create healthy meal boxes and implemented an AI-driven online ordering system capable of processing up to 300 orders daily. Other award-winning teams focused on diverse community projects, including female empowerment, 3D printing educational tools, and documenting local cultural heritage through photography and video.
