Pingtung students embark on 18‑day German green‑auto industry study

Twenty high‑school and university students from Pingtung County, Taiwan, were selected for an 18‑day learning tour of Germany’s leading green‑automotive sector. The trip is funded by the Ministry of Education’s Youth Development Agency under the “Youth Hundred‑Billion Overseas Dream Fund” and organized by the Pingtung County Government Education Department.

During the visit the group toured the headquarters and museums of Audi, Mercedes‑Benz and Porsche, attended a Siemens industrial training session in Nuremberg, and conducted academic tours at the Technical University of Munich, the University of Stuttgart and Heidelberg University. They also observed green‑racing technology at the Hockenheim and Nürburgring circuits. The program aims to expose participants to Industry 4.0, electric‑vehicle research, renewable‑energy applications and sustainability practices, with the goal of bringing this expertise back to Taiwan’s emerging green‑energy industry.
