Pinhais and São José dos Pinhais advance regional development initiatives

Municipalities in the state of Paraná are implementing various initiatives focused on economic development, education, and professional training.

In Pinhais, a partnership with Sebrae Paraná has earned the city the ‘Cidade Empreendedora’ (Entrepreneurial City) seal. The municipality has been recognized for its efficient business environment, including low turnaround times for company registration. Additionally, Pinhais hosted the SEMPRE seminar, which brought together 14 municipalities to discuss pedagogical practices and literacy management in coordination with the State Secretariat of Education.

São José dos Pinhais is advancing local sustainability and workforce readiness. The city is participating in a national exchange regarding the PNAE Agroecological program to increase the acquisition of food from family farmers for school meals. Simultaneously, the local government is offering free professional qualification courses in areas such as maintenance mechanics and food preparation to improve employment opportunities for residents.
