Pinheiro hosts 1st Oncology Conference to combat cancer in Maranhão

The 1st Oncology Conference, titled ‘All Against Cancer in Maranhão’, is being held at the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) campus in Pinheiro. Organized by the Antônio Dino Foundation in partnership with UFMA and the State University of Maranhão (UEMA), the event focuses on updating and disseminating knowledge regarding oncological assistance.

The program includes discussions on oncology trends, chemotherapy administration, evidence-based protocols for oncological emergencies, and palliative care. The initiative aims to strengthen cancer combat actions in the state by qualifying health professionals and promoting the sharing of best practices.
