Pinheiros aims for playoff spot with back‑to‑back games against Flamengo and Fluminense

Esporte Clube Pinheiros, currently fifth in the Liga Nacional de Polo Aquático with six points from six matches, will play two decisive fixtures in Rio de Janeiro. On Saturday, 8 August at 17:00, the team faces Flamengo at the Gávea pool, followed by a Sunday, 9 August, 11:30 clash with Fluminense at Laranjeiras. Both matches will be streamed live on PAB Brasil’s YouTube channel.

Coach Roberto Chiappini said the squad must “bring as many points as possible” to move closer to the top‑four positions that guarantee playoff qualification. A win in either game could improve Pinheiros’ standing and keep its playoff hopes alive for the second half of the season.
