Pinheiros Club Hosts Santos Brazil Tennis Classic M25 Tournament
The Santos Brazil Tennis Classic WT M25 will begin qualifying on Monday, 20 May, on the clay courts of Esporte Clube Pinheiros in São Paulo. Five Pinheiros players – four club members and one activist – will compete, including rising ranks Felipe Meligeni, nephew of former pro Fernando Meligeni, and Lucas Andrade, the defending champion. The event offers a $30,000 prize pool.
Henrique Nogueira, who won the club’s internal qualifier by beating Kiko D’Amorim, will represent Pinheiros in the main draw. He said, “After the victory against Kiko, I trained two intense weeks and I’m very excited to play in front of the crowd. It’s a privilege and a feeling that has no price.”
Qualifying matches will be held on courts 9, 13, 14 and 8 starting at 10 a.m., with the main draw slated for Tuesday. The ITF will publish the qualifying and main‑draw brackets on Sunday, 19 May.
