Pinheiros clubs dominate national handball and water polo fixtures

The Pinheiros women’s handball team defeated Maringá 25–18 in the final match of the Liga Nacional de Handebol Feminino South‑Southeast phase, closing the stage with a perfect 100 % record. Goalkeeper Rayane Santos was named player of the match.

At the Brazil Open water‑polo tournament, Pinheiros’ women’s squad recorded decisive victories over SESI‑SP (13–5) and Tijuca‑RJ (22–7). The men’s team delivered a tightly contested performance against Flamengo but were edged out 13–11 after conceding key goals in the second half.
