Pinheiros finishes fifth in Brazilian Badminton Championship

The Pinheiros badminton team finished in fifth place at the Brazilian Mixed Team Championship held in Toledo, Paraná, from August 12 to 15. The competition, which had not been held since 2009, featured a format where clubs competed in five categories: women's singles, men's singles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

Representing Pinheiros were Caio Henrique, Fhelipe Lennon, Vivian Iha, and Welton Menezes, coached by Enzo Sugiura. Due to Jaqueline Lima and Fabrício Farias competing in the World Championship in India, the club partnered with Santa Mônica to complete the roster. After advancing through two rounds, Pinheiros was defeated 4-1 by Paulistano in the quarterfinals.

Additionally, Pinheiros athletes participated in the ACENBO Challenge in Osasco on August 22 and 23. This friendly tournament aimed to provide experience for young players and match rhythm for veterans. The club secured four medals during the event.
