Pinheiros Leads LDB Group A with Three Straight Wins

Esporte Clube Pinheiros has won its first three matches in the 2026 Liga de Desenvolvimento (LDB), topping Group A with six points. The team defeated Instituto Viva Vida 92‑67, Minas T.C. 69‑65 and Basquete Cearense 98‑54, posting double‑double performances from Gustavo Dieger (13 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists), Grigor Vieira (10 points, 14 rebounds) and João Marcelo (12 points, 12 rebounds).

Coached by Vitor Galvani and bolstered by recent additions Grigor Vieira and Gabriel Caldeira, Pinheiros will play its next fixture against Brasília on Thursday, 25 March at 11:15 a.m. in the Felipe Karan gym in Rio Claro, with the game streamed on the NBB YouTube channel. The LDB features 24 teams divided into two groups of twelve, with the top finishers advancing to later stages.
