Pinheiros women's handball team claims silver at South-Central Championship

Pinheiros qualified for the semifinals of the South‑Central Women’s Handball Championship after a 25‑17 victory over Uruguay’s Scuola Italiana on June 17. The match was highlighted by Mariana Merlin, who was named player of the game.

In the final held on June 19, Pinheiros were narrowly defeated by Argentina’s Sedalo, losing 24‑23. The contest saw a back‑and‑forth battle, with Pinheiros briefly taking the lead before Sedalo rallied to win.
