Pininfarina to redesign Airstream's iconic aluminum caravans

Italian design house Pininfarina, renowned for its historical work with Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati, has been commissioned by the American company Airstream to redesign its iconic aluminum caravans.

The collaboration aims to modernize the appearance of Airstream’s classic models while maintaining their recognizable aesthetic. Both companies describe the project as a “careful evolution” rather than a radical departure from the brand's established DNA. Pininfarina has already visited Airstream's manufacturing facilities to begin the process.

This partnership serves as a precursor to Airstream’s centennial anniversary in 2031. The move aligns with Pininfarina’s broader strategy of applying its design expertise to various sectors beyond supercars, including yachts, trains, architecture, and lifestyle products.
