Pink Floyd announces special Meddle vinyl reissue for National Album Day

Pink Floyd has announced a special San Tropez Orange Marble vinyl reissue of their 1971 album, Meddle, to be released through Sony Music on October 17 in celebration of National Album Day.

In conjunction with the release, a newly restored high-resolution version of the Echoes sequence will be made available on the band’s YouTube channel. The footage originates from the closing scene of the 1973 Australian surf documentary Crystal Voyager, directed by David Elfick and narrated by George Greenough. The sequence is noted for its groundbreaking underwater cinematography, achieved through a custom-built camera rig.
