Pink Lady celebrates 50th anniversary with Tokyo tribute concert
The iconic Japanese musical duo Pink Lady celebrated their 50th debut anniversary on August 25, 2026. To mark the milestone, a tribute concert titled ‘Pink Lady Debut 50th Anniversary Tribute Project Legend, Now and Forever’ was held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in Tokyo.
The event featured a variety of performers, including members of AKB48, Momoiro Clover Z, and solo artists such as Hitomi Yaeyama and Mariya Ichi. The concert showcased reinterpretations of the duo’s classic hits, ranging from ‘Pepper Keibu’ to ‘UFO’. Following the concert, a tribute album titled ‘Pink Lady Densetsu Now and Forever -50th Anniversary Tribute Album-’ was released on August 26, containing 11 tracks including their million-selling hits.
Member Mie Yuina expressed her gratitude on social media, sharing rare photographs of herself in a kimono from her 20th birthday during the height of the group’s popularity. She thanked the late songwriters and producers, as well as the fans, for their continued support over the five decades.
