Pink October initiatives launch in Brazil and Portugal

Various initiatives are underway in Brazil and Portugal to support breast cancer awareness and patient support during Pink October.

In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the ‘Passarela do Bem’ event is scheduled for October 18 at Ares – Casa do Marinheiro. Created by visagist Lúcio Mathias and Mônica Alcântara, the project features a fashion show where women who have undergone oncological treatment share their stories. The event includes musical performances and aims to collect donations such as food baskets, diapers, and hygiene kits for partner institutions.

In Portugal, the jewelry and watch brand One has launched the ‘Aurora’ collection. The brand has pledged to donate 25% of the profits from each piece sold to the Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro to support prevention, awareness, and assistance for patients and their families.
