Pink Power Run to host half marathon in Hyderabad

The third edition of the Pink Power Run is scheduled for September 27 at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road in Hyderabad. Organized by the Sudha Reddy Foundation and the MEIL Foundation, the event expects to attract over 20,000 participants.

This year’s event introduces an official 21.097-km half marathon certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), alongside 10-km, 5-km, and 3-km race categories. A prize pool of ₹75 lakh will be awarded to more than 100 winners.

Beyond the competition, the initiative aims to promote breast cancer awareness and preventive healthcare. A unique component of the event will convert the collective distance covered by runners into free breast cancer screenings and mammograms for underprivileged patients. Organizers noted the importance of early detection, particularly as Telangana reports high incidence rates of breast cancer.
