Pink tarator becomes a social media sensation in Sunny Beach

A culinary innovation known as "pink tarator" has become a social media sensation in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. Created by chef Georgi Matev, this variation of the traditional Bulgarian cold yogurt soup features a distinct pink color achieved by adding fresh beetroot juice.

The recipe consists of thick yogurt, fresh beetroot juice, cucumbers, dill, garlic, roasted nuts, and Spanish olive oil. While the dish was originally conceived by Matev last year, its popularity has surged this season. At the hotel complex where it is served, the dish is priced at 6.50 euros.
